The biodiversity conservation pillar has three elements: focal species,
species diversity, and community integrity. Each element is represented by
multiple metrics. Condition scores are calculated for all three Elements, and
they are averaged to represent the Pillar. Condition scores range from +1 to
-1 representing more favorable to less favorable conditions, respectively. The
proposition of more favorable is based on the objective of achieving the
desired outcome for the pillar.
